Abstract

The distillery effluent collected at one year internal between October 2007 to September 2008 and analyzed for its different characteristics. Samples were collected from the distillery, Unnao, India. Result of the analysis showed that presence of addition chemical load like iron, carbonate, bicarbonate, Chloride and B.O.D. were found in the effluent discharge of the above stated distillery. The analysis of various physical and chemical characteristics of distillery effluents showed variations according to season and results reveals that these are certain relationships between physico-chemical characteristics of effluents both positive and negative.
