Abstract

Four complete rabbit rations were formulated incorporating 25% of dried and ground Setaria (D1), Guinea (D2), Hamil (D3) and Broom grass (D4). These rations were fed ad lib to 20 adult Soviet Chinchilla rabbits in 4 groups of 5 eachh The DM intake ranged from 3.76 to 4.43 kg/100 kg body weight and was significantly higher (P<0.05) on D3 and D4. The digestibility of DM, OM, CP, EE and NFE was significantly lower (P<0.01) on ration D2. N balance was similar in ail the rations. The rations containing Hamil and Broom grass were better accepted and utilized by adult rabbits.
