The effect of ad libitum feeding uf oat and berseem fodders on rumen enzymes activities was studied in an adult male black buck. The activities of carboxymethyl cellulase, xylanase and proteases were higher on oat feeding while the activity of aspartic transaminase was higher on berseem feeding. The activities of amylase, β-glucosidase, urease and alanine transaminase were not affected with diets. The higher concentration of holocellulose in oats stimulated higher production of carboxymethyl cellulase and xylanase activities on oats feeding.
