Abstract

Farmore, a feed supplement containing the cytokinins, crude proteins, fat and traces of calcium, phosphorus and potassium, was tested on 43-weeks old keystone golden layers maintained on restricted (10% less than the ad lib.) feeding regime, at graded levels of 0 (T1), 5 (T2), 10 (T3) and 15 (T4) ml/q of feed. The amount of feed required to produce 1 kg of egg mass was 3.17, 3.09, 3.16 and 3.18 kg and for producing 1 dozen of eggs was 2.28, 2.24,2.23 and 2.26 kg in groups T1, T2, T3 and T4, respectively and the differences were non-significant. The supplementation of feed with Farmore did not result in any significant increase in the digestibility coefficients of proximate as well as fiber fractions of the test diets.
