A study was undertaken to ascertain nutritional status of different categories of buffaloes kept by livestock owners having different land holding capacity. The intake of DM, DCP and TON by buffaloes through common feed stuffs available to the farmers in the area were studied. The average deficiency in supply of DM was 13.36% in calves, 5.46% in heifers, 7.78% in dry buffaloes and 28.28% in milch buffaloes. The DCP intake was deficit by 66.93%, 39.08% and 8.90% in calves, heifers and milch buffaloes, respectively, whereas it was surplus by 30.53% in dry buffaloes. However, the TDN supply was significantly (P<0.05) surplus in all the groups with the values of 21.55%, 43.33%, 140.27% and 32.40% in calves, heifers, dry buffaloes and milch buffaloes respectively.
