In Barbari goats, concentration of Total-VFA, NH3-N, Na and K in rumen liquor was not found to be different during growth, early pregnancy, late pregnancy and lactation. Rumen pH was higher (P<0.05) during late pregnancy and microbial protein content higher (P<0.01) during late pregnancy and lactation.
