Rumen content silage (with urea and molasses) and a complete feed mixture were fed ad-lib either alone or after mixing in the ratios of 30:70,50:50 and 70:30 to different groups of Black Bengal goats, with 4 goats in each group. The DCP and TDN values of rumen content silage were 9.40±0.11 and 49.97±0.47 and that of complete feed mixture 11.13±0.44 and 71.11±0.83%. The voluntary DM intake did not differ significantly among the groups when different ratios of rumen content silage and complete feed mixture were fed but the digestibilities of NFE (72.1±0.70, 61.4±3.50 and 59.5±0.58) and EE (72.8±0.53,66.8±2.37 and 60.4±0.66) were more (P<0.01) when the ratio was 30:70 than the other 2 ratios. The results suggest that dried rumen content silage can be incorporated at the level of 30–50% to replace a complete feed mixture to maintain Black Bengal goats.
