Abstract

Composition and quality characteristics of eggs on layer diets were studied in which deoiled rice polish was replaced by 0, 5, 10, 15 and 20% sun dfied poultry droppings (DPD). Shell content and shell thickness was.significantly (P<0.01) high on feeding 20% DPD but albumen content, yolk content, yolk index and Haugh unit value of eggs did not show any significant effect. Organoleptic tests revealed no significant difference in taste, flavour and odour of eggs from different groups.
