Abstract

Two experiments were conducted simultaneously-on grower and adult Newzealand white rabbits. Grower rabbits were fed on peiieted diets containing corticated job's tears grain (CJTG) at 15 and 30% levels for a period of 42d whereas, adult rablts were fed on mash diets containing CJTG. at 20, 40 and 60% levels for the period of 28d and compared against conventional peiieted control diet. Body weight gain and protein digestibility were notaffected in thegrower and adult rabbits. However, feed consumption was reduced significantly (P<0.05) as the level of CJTG increased to the diets of adult rabbits. Thus CJTG can be incorporated upto 30% in grower and 20% levels in adult rabbits ration in pelleted and mash form.
