Four yearling Nellore Brown ram lambs (22.00±0.73 kg) In a 22-d feeding trial were offered ad lib freshly harvested and chopped CO-1 grass at flowering stage as sole feed. On DM basis the average CP, EE, CF, NFE and ash contents of the forage were 7.43, 2.35, 26.41, 53.73 and 10.08%, respectively. The DMI in lambs was 57 g/kg W0.75/d. DCP and TDN contents in CO-1 forage were 3.07 and 52.07%, respectively. 3 out of 4 Jambs showed positive N balance.
