Three flstulated adult male buffaloes were fed on wheat straw bused equinitrogenous diets along with concentrate mixture containing protein sources viz. mustard cake (T1), dried poultry droppings (DPD) (T2) and DPD forrtfied with molasses as additional energy source (T3), in a 3x3 switch over design. Mean pH values of strained rumen liquor (SRL) were significantly (P<0.05) higher in groups T2 and T3 as compared to T1 whereas mean values for NPN were significantly (P<0.05) lower for T3. The ammonia-N content was significantly (P<0.05) higher in T than in other groups whereas the mean total-N contents varied significantly (P<0.05) between the groups. Mean values of TWA and TCA-N did not differ significantly between the groups. There was no significant effect of feeding DPD with or without molasses upon overall rumen fermentation.
