Abstract

Twelve Gaddi synthetic hoggets were randomly divided into four groups and fed basal concentrate fortified with 0, 25, 50 and 100% requirements of Cu, Zn, Mn, Co, Se, I and S along with grazing/stall feeeing gf mixed grass hay for six months. DMI through concentrate and hay was sowee in grouu T4. Digestibibilies of all organic nutrients decreased by addition of salts. Nitrogen balance was reflective- of near malntainence Indicating addition of salts decreased organic nutrient availability in sheep. Greasy fleece yield, wool quallty atttrbutes, wool Cu, Zn and serum Cu, Zn and Mn were not affected by mineral supplementation.
