Twenty four crossbred (Beetal x Assam local) male kids (3-4m, 6–8 kg), distributed In four equal groups, were fed on diets with concentrate: roughage ratio of 23; 77 (A), 32:68 (B), 43:57 (C) and 48:52 (D) for 90 days. Average daily body weight gain was 22,31,52 and 61 g in groups A, B, C and D, respectively and the variation was significantly (P<0.01) different among groups. However, DM Intake per 10® kg body weightt and carcass traits like dressing percentage, loin eye area, edible and Inedible offals and in various whole sale cuts and chemical composition were similar among groups. The dlssectabie fat percent of the carcass was significantly higher (P<0.01) In group C and D due to higher intake of concentrate.
