In vitro DM and cellulose digestibilities of lime and urea treated teak (Tectona grandis) leaves containing 89% DM, 7.44% CP, 2.52% EE, 25.16% CF, 47.70% NFE, 17.10% ash, 1.87% Ca and 1.38% tannin, were estimated. DM and cellulose digestibilities and TVFA production were snore on alkali treatment (4%) whereas lime and urea combination had additive effect. Lime alone and urea and lime treatments of teak leaves removed its tannins indicating that urea and lime treatment was effective for improving the nutritive value of teak leaves.
