Forty Murrah buffalo calves (7–8 m; 114kg), randomly divided into 8 equal groups, were red concentrate mixture along with either para grassad. lib or hay ad. lib or 50% or 100% of their replacement with water hyacinth in two forms (fresh or silage) for 180 d. The animals performed better with the feeding of either SO % silage with 50% para grass or 100% silage or 100% para grass in order without any adverse effect on haenietological and iirinary constituents.
