Four iso-introgenous concentrate mixtures (20% CP) were formulated replacing ground nut cake (G NC) nitrogen at O (CM-1), 25 (CM-2), 50 (CM-3) and 75% (CM-4) levels by extruded ragurea-70 product and evaluated in a 4 x 4 latin square design using 4 rumen fistulated steers. There was no significant difference in apparent CP and EE digestibilities and N balance in steers fed concentrate mixtures where GNC-N was replaced by ragurea-70 upto 50%. Significantly (P<0.05) lower CP, CF and NFE digestibilities were observed in steers fed CM-4. The average DCP and TDN values of rations varied from 5.6 to 6.4 and 57.8 to 61.5 percent, respectively. Replacement of GNC-N by extruded ragurea-70 product at 25, 50 and 75% reduced the cost by Rs. 14, 31 and 66/quintal, respectively. It is concluded that regurea-70 product can replace 50% of GNC-N in the rations of growing cattle.
