Fifteen growing male crossbred calves, randomly divided into 3 groups of 5 each, were fed on a low cobalt diet comprising of wheat straw and concentrate mixture, Group I served as control wiiearas groups II and III were supplemented with 0.6 and 1.2 ppm cobalt, respectively. Cobalt supplementation had no effect on blood constituents and blood metabolites such as glucose and total protein, whereas urea and ammonia-N were significantly (P<0.05) higher in control group. Serwm vitamin B12 was significantly (P<0.01) higher in groups II and III than In group I. It was concluded that supplementary cobalt has no effect on blood constituents.
