Twelve isocaloric (2900 Kcsal ME/Kg) and isonitrogenous (23% CP) diets containing varying levels of (FMP Fash meal protein, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0, 5 5, and 6.0%) were fed to day old commercial broiler chicks for 4 weeks. PER and protein retention were influenced significantly (P<0.05) due to varying levels of FMP. Optimum PER was registered in broilers offered 3.0 and 5.5% FMP diets during first two weeks and in subsequent two weeks 2.0% FMP diets performed highest response. Overall PER was best in groups allotted 2.0 or 5.5% FMP diet. The percent protein retention was maximum in broiler fed 5.0% FMP dlet.
