Nine oat varieties viz. OS-6, OS-92, OS-96, OS-134, OL-113, OL-J25, JHO-828, JKO-829 and UPO-94 were compared for fodder production for 3 successive years with its reference variety (Kent). Highest green yield was shown by OS-6 during all the years followed by OS-92, OS-96, JHO-828, OS-134, OL-125, Kent, JHO-829, OL-113 and UPO-94. The varieties OS-6and Kent (DM yield 182.75 and 147.54 g/ha, respectively) exhibited higher nutrient composition than others. Variety OS-6 showed highest yield of DM, CP and total carbohydrates production per hectare.
