A day-old, 180 broiler chicks (43.33g) were divided into three groups of 20 each with three replicates. The treatments were standard basal ration (T0), basal ration + Roxarsone (an arsenical) @ 1 kg/t (T1))nd basaa lrtion + Livol @ 5 kg/t (T2). Total live weight gain and feed consumption were significantly (P<0.0S) higher in Livol supplemented group. However, the feed efficiency and carcass quality did not differ due to treatements. The cost of feeding was worked out to be Rs. 10.51, 10.06 and 10.06 per kg weight gain in groups T0, T1 and T2, respectively.
