Ten female kids (Jalwadi x Sirohi), weighing 13.0) to 16.5 kg and 8–10 in age, were divided in two groups and fed on dry and green Ardu leaves ad lib. for 50 d. The TDM and DCP of dry leaves were 66.28 and 12.14 and thatof green leaves 67.36 and 12.31, respectively. Significantly more DM from Ardu leaves were consumed in its green form than in dry form when fed twice dally. However, no such difference was observed when the same were fed thrice daily. The dry leaves were retained for a longer time in reticulo-rumen and the whole gut as compared to green leaves.
