The chemical composition of hybrid napier bajre PBN-231 was compared with variety PBN-83 at monthly intervals from April to August. The highest concentration of oxalic acid was in the month of June in both the cultivars. The oxalate content in monthly samples was variable (P<0,05) from one months to another and redued considerably by ensiling.
