Abstract

Concentrate mixtures containing 0, 10, 50 atari 100 ppm lindane were evaluated for in vitro microbial protein synthesis. Microbial protein synthesis was decreased significantly as the level of lindane increased but at the level of 1000 ppm in concentrate mixture did not influence IVDMD and TVFA concentration in another experiment. It is concluded that lindane, restrict the utilization of substrate for microbial growth in rumen.
