Nutrient Contents in Tree Fodders and Bamboo Leaves of Eastern Himalaya

The CP content of tree leaves of eastern Himalaya varied in the range of 8 to 31 percent whereas the CP content in tender stem of fodder trees of region varied from 7 to 15 percent. The CF content In tender ssems waa highee rhan in tree leaves. Minerals in tree leaves and In tender stems were almost similar. The CP content in'the bamboo leaves of various plant species varied from 9 to 19 percent and the CF content varied in the range of 18 to 34 percent. There was not much variation among species for the minerals in bamboo leaves.
