Four bucks were ted solely on fresh oak (Quercus semecarpifolia) leaves during the monsoon season for six weeks and a digestibility trial for 6 days was conducted at the end to determine the nutritive value of oak leaves. The DM intake was 2.50±0.10kg/100 kg b.wt indicating moderate palatability. The DCP and TDN value was 3.65 and 47.17% respectively indicating that feeding of oak leaves can not meet the maintenance requirements of the bucks.
