Twelve nondescript male goats (6–8 months, 12 kg body weight), divided in three groups of four each, were fed on concentrate mixture and gram straw ad lib. Goundnut cake in the concentrate mixture of control group (T1) was replaced at 50 (T2) and 100% (T3) levels by soyflakes on w/w basis. The CP content of GNC and soyflake was approximately similar DM intake among the groups did not differ significantly. Digestibility of DM, CF, NFE, ADF and cellulose was significantly (P<0.05) higher in groups T2 and T3 than in group T1. DCP content of the diets was similar, however TDN of diet T3 was significantly (P<0.05) higher than other diets. The nitrogen balance in all the groups was similar, indicating that the replacement of GNC with soyflakes improved the intake and digestibility of nutrients in goats.
