Four rams (1 yr, 22.25 kg b.wt) were fed on green oat fodder ad l\h for 85 days and a metabolism trial of 7 days duration was conducted. Average daily intake of DM, DCP and TDN was 49.35, 3.40 and 30.92 g/kg W0.75. The apparent digestibility of DM, OM, CF, NFE, CP, EE and total carbohydrate was 64.76, 66.25, 68.0, 67.5, 71.5, 50.0 and 67.75%, respectively. Positive balances of nitrogen, calcium and pkosphours were observed. The nutritive value of green oat fodder was 6.87% DCP and 62.66% TDN. Green oat fodder could meet the maintenance requirement of rams.
