Two complete rations containing wheat straw (CR1) and spent (CR2) straw each at 60% level were nutritionally evaluated in crossbrad sheep. The DM intake was 0.841 and 0.892 kg/day on CR1 and CR2, respectively. The digestibility of DM, NFE, NDF and ADF was significantly higher on CR1 than on CR2. The DCP and TDN contents were 5.35 and 56.10 and 7.09 and 41.68 per centin CK1 and CR2, respectively. Both rations could maintain experimental sheep with ADG of 50–60 g/day. There were non significant differences between rations in feed to gain ratio and feed cost.
