Abstract

Four iso-nitrogenous rations (12% CP) with 0, 5, 10 and 15% calcium soap of red palm oil, prepared in the laboratory, were formulated using sorghum straw and concentrate feed ingredients and evaluated in vitro and in sacco. Average in vitro dry matter digestibility (IVDMD), in sacco DM disapperance and ‘effective degradable dry matter’ (EDDM) of the rations were similar. Further, in vivo studies have been suggested.
