Twelve each of Nellore brown lambs and non-descript male kids (3-5m, 12–14 kg) were fed on a diet containing urea treated sorghum straw and cowpea fodder at 70:30 ratio (on DMB) in a 150d growth trial under intensive system of feeding. The ADG (g), DM required/kg gain (kg) and cost of feed/kg gain (Rs.) were 62, 9.0 and 16.2 in sheep and 57, 9.8 and 17.6 in goats, respectively.
