Eight strains namely, 885 F, FS 156, FSH 92079, HD 19, PAC 8298, SSG 1001, SSG 5000 and TNFS 9602 of multicut sorghum were evaluated for their nutrient content, digestibility and yield of nutrients. The yields of green fodder, dry matter, crude protein and digestible dry matter ranged from 311.7 to 686.6, 78.2 to 188.0, 4.87 to 11.08 and 76.6 to 109.2 q/ha in first cut, respectively. In second cut, the corresponding values were 93.3 to 291.7, 19.2 to 66.2,1.54 to 5.07 and 11.97 to 76.60 q/ha, respectively. The DM, CP, NBDMD, ash, AIA, NDF, ADF, Cellulose and lignin content varied from 25.0 to 32.7, 5.48 to 6.30, 49.7 to 58.47, 5.65 to 9.21, 2.44 to 3.43, 64.9 to72.0, 43.4 to 48.8, 32.7 to 38.8 and 8.10 to 9.20 per cent in first cut, respectively. In second cut the corresponding values were 23.3 to 25.0, 7.23 to 7.99, 54.5 to 70.4, 6.86 to 7.83, 2.62 to 3.30, 64.6 to 69.0, 39.6 to 44.1, 32.7 to 38.8 and 6.85 to 8.10 per cent, respectively. The HCN Content determined only in second cut varied from 40.06 to 275.53 ppm. On the basis of yield and quality the varieties/hybrids FSH 92079 TNFS 9602, FS 156, SSG 1001, and SSG 5000 were found superior to the rest.
