The seeds of Prosopis juliflora (SW) DC obtained from different sources, were analysed for their mineral composition. Significant variations were observed in mineral composition of different seed sources. The sodium content of tree seeds varied in the range of 0.01 to 0.02 per cent, whereas, potassium varied from 0.26 to 0.53 per cent. The per cent composition of calcium, phosphorus and magnesium contents were varied from 0.16 (Raisingh Nagar) to 0.31 (Kola Farm), 0.24 (Bhatinda) to 0.49 (Sardargarh) and 0.09 (Raisingh Nagar) to 0.18 (Sardargarh), respectively. The micro-nutrients, i.e. iron, copper, zinc and manganese contents (ppm) in Prosopis juliflora seeds ranged from 144.73 (Raisingh Nagar) to 448.29 (Suratgarh), 18.41 (Raisingh Nagar) to 36.15 (Ganganagar), 34.36 (Dabwali) to 65.31 (Anupgarh) and 35.75’(Pilibanga) to 56.68 (Karnal), respectively.
