In order to minimize the feeding cost and replacing GNC with extracted sunflower cake on growth and nutrients utilization in goat kids, an experiment on 15 kids divided in three groups/treatments (T1-control, in T2 and T3 GNC was replaced by extracted sunflower cake at 25 and 50% level on protein basis) was conducted for 105 days. The DMI was signiflcantly (p<0.05) higher in control as compared to T3, but statistically T1 and T2, T^ and T3 were non-significant (498, 475 and 419 g/day). The digestibility co-efficients of DM, CF and NFE were significantly (P<0.05) higher in T as compared to T, where as the digestibility of CP and EE were non-significant. The intake of nitrogen, nitrogen balance as percent of intake and as per cent of absorbed N were significantly higher in T1 as compared to other treatments. The daily live weight gain was statistically similar in all the treatments but apparently higher in T2 and T3 as compared to T1. It may be inferred that 50 per cent GNC can be replaced with extracted sunflower cake without affecting growth and nutrients utilization in kids.
