The amino acid composition of milk replacer fed to pre-ruminants was determined on Automatic Amino Acid Analyser. Lysine, histidine, methionine, iso-leucine, leucine phenylalanine, glutamic acid, proline and tyrosine appeared to be in short supply in milk replacer as compared to milk proteins. Arginine, aspartic acid, glycine and alanine levels were higher in milk replacer than those reported for cow and buffalo milk protein. Threonine valine and serine contents were higher in milk replacer than buffalo milk protein, less than cow milk protein.
