The unimproved Themeda pastures of Central Luzon can not sustain the normal growth of caracows during the net season. Carabaos grazing on native pasture with rice bran/damaged paddy supplementation at the rate of 0.5% of body weight gave better response in growth and weight gain which can be attributed to increase in dry matter intake. However, the response was inadequate. Further supplementation of iirea-molasses-miueral block lick led to better response in live weight gain.
