Abstract

The samples of 20 cowpca varieties viz., C-152, EC-4216, HFC-42-1, H-selection, Co-1, FoS-1, Ic-6112-A, No. 10, No. 457, No. 843, No. 998, PLL-134, PLL-164, PLL-220, PLL-395, NP-1, NF-3, Russian Giant, Nagar Local and Manjari Local differed significantly (P<0.05) in cell wall constituents, CP and IVDMD. The varieties R-Giant, FOS-1, NP-3, HFC-42-1 and NP-1 were comparatively superior to other varieties in chemical composition. The cell wall constituents were negatively (P< 0.01) correlated whereas CP was positively (P< 0.01) correlated with IVDMD.
