A study was carried on 8 adult male buffaloes divided into 2 groups of 4 animals each, to examine the effect of feeding ensiled urea impregnated wheat straw with that of control. There was no significant difference in the digestibility of DM, OM, CP, NDF, cell contents, hemi-cellulose and cellulose between the groups but the digestibility of EE and ADF in the group fed ensiled wheatstrawdeclined significantly(P<0.05). The results indicated that urea provided to buffaloes in either manner was equally satisfactory.
