Dicalcium phosphate (DCP) was replaced with di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) at 0, 33, 66 and 100 per cent level (w/w) in a mineral mixture of layers for 23 weeks period by allocating 25 layers for each diet. The hen-day egg production and feed efficiency were significantly (P<0.05) decreased in 66 and 100 per cent groups, however, the feed intake did not differ significantly among groups. The replacement of DCP by DAP did not affect the feed cost per dozen eggupto 33 per cent. Based on the economic traits, the DAP could be incorporated safely upto 33 per cent level replacing costlier DCP (w/w) without any adverse effect in layers.
