A mineral balance trial was conducted on Assam local goats. Ten healthy male Assam local goats of six to eight months old have been selected and divided into two groups (Gr-I and Gr-II) of five each. Both the groups were offered restricted amount of two different types of concentrate and ad lib Artocarpus integrifolia (kathal pat) and clean drinking water. The Gr-I was provided a concentrate with mineral mixture at 2% level and no mineral mixture was added in the ration of Gr-II. No significant difference was observed between the two groups in respect of DM intake. DM digestibility (%) (%) was significantly (P<0.5) higher in Gr-I than Gr. II. Significantly (P<0.05) higher percentage of retention of Ca, P, Fe and Cu and apparently higher of Mg and Zn was observed in Gr-I than Gr. II. Serum mineral profile and growth was apparently more in Gr-I than Gr. II..
