Abstract

An experiment was conducted to assess the in-vitro digestibility of Sorghum stover alone or with cottonseed cake (CSC), groundnut cake (GNC), sunflower cake (SNFC), safflower cake (SFC) and soybean cake (SC). Highest (P<0.01) digestibility of nturients was observed in CSC supplemented group. There was no significant variations in digestibility of NDF and ADF on supplementation with GNC or CSC. Similarly digestibility of OM, NDF, and cellulose was comparable in SNFC and SFC supplemented diets. It was concluded that CSC was best supplement in sorghum stover based diet in buffaloes.
