Abstract

Non-descript bullocks (12; 200–300 kg BW) randomly divided into three equal groups and were fed either as per Sen et al. (1978) feeding standard 100 (T0), 125 (T1) and 150% (T2) higher level. Daily dry matter intake differs non-significantly between the groups. Digestibility of CP, EE and CF were significantly (P<0.05) higher in feeding 150% level over control. The DCP intake, nitrogen and phosphorus balance were significantly (P<0.05) high by feeding higher level of concentrate mixture. Significant (P<0.05) difference was observed between animals of group T0 and T2 with respect to urinary energy loss, metabolizable energy and metabolizable energy for work. Conversion efficiency of gross energy to digestible energy, gross energy to metabolizable energy showed significant (P<0.05) difference between group T0 and T2.
