Abstract

A study was undertaken to assess the effect of incorporating a multi enzyme preparation in the ration @ 0.1% on the performance of White leghorn (WLH) pullets raised on deep litter. The age at sexual maturity was reduced by incorporating multi enzyme preparation, but age at 50% production was same in both the groups. A significant (P<0.05) improvement in hen day egg production was recorded due to enzyme supplementation. Feed conversion ratio was better (P<0.05) in treatment group as compared to control. No effect on egg quality traits was observed by supplementation of multi enzyme preparation in the ration. It was concluded that mixed enzyme supplementation in the diet of pullets resulted in the better performance in terms of egg production and feed conversion ratio.
