Abstract

The experiment was conducted to assess the antioxidant status during heat stress and after antioxidants supplementation in heat stressed Black Bengal goats. Except control, all groups were exposed to heat stress in psychrometric chamber for 5 hours daily for 21 days. In heat stressed group, the plasma vitamin E, C levels and total antioxidant activity were decreased significantly where as supplementation of vitamin E and C increased the plasma vitamin E and C levels in their respective groups with increased total antioxidant activity in treatment groups.
