The effect of fibrolylic enzymes supplementation in the diet of buffaloes on milk yield and its composition was studied. Murrah buffaloes (20; 101 milk/d; 20–45 days in milk) were divided into 2 equal groups. The animals in control, group were offered conventional diet of berseem and concentrate mixture, while those in experimental group the conventional diet was supplemented with 15g fibrolytic enzyme (FE) for 10 weeks. The milk yield and fat corrected milk yield increased by 7.1 and 10.9% respectively, in FE over the control group but the differences were statistically non significant. The fat, protein, lactose and total solids in milk increased by 4.51, 4.48, 5.56 (P<0.01) and 3.32%. The differences in the values between group FE and control were levelled after 4 weeks of withdrawal of the enzyme.
