Effects of feeding ground wheat (GW) and NaOH-treated wheat (SW) in the concentrate and silage on dry matter intake, milk yield and composition, and blood metabolites were compared using 16 Holstein dairy cows, distributed in two groups. SW did not affect DM intake of concentrate and silage among cows. FCM 4% yield got improved (P<0.01) with SW as compared to GW without affecting the milk composition. SW decreased (P<0.01) the blood urea content without affecting total protein, glucose, Na or K content. Increasing the concentrate level increased milk protein content, without affecting the blood metabolites. There was a significant (P<0.01) interaction between the concentrate level and milk protein content.
