One-day old Cobb 500 broiler chicks (252) were divided into three treatment groups each of 84 birds (four replicates each of 21 birds). During an experimental period of 30 days, one group was administered multivitamins in drinking water continuously, the other group only during stress conditions and a control was maintained without additional vitamin supplement. Performance of birds and profitability were improved significantly (P<0.01) for the birds in performances of birds reared on multivitamins. It was concluded that continuous and intermittent (during stress conditions) supply of multivitamins improved the performance and profitability of commercial broilers.
