Two hundred and eighty commercial layer chicks belonging to single hatch were purchased from local hatchery, wing banded, weighed and randomly allotted into 7 treatment groups with four replicates of 10 chicks each. The experimental diets were T1 - Control; T2 - 0.1% probiotic; T3 - 0.1% probiotic + 0.1% aloe vera powder and T4 - 0.1% probiotic + 0.1% turmeric powder. Feed consumption was similar among groups. Hen housed egg production, hen day egg production, per cent broken eggs, feed conversion ration per dozen eggs and return over feed cost during 21 to 52 weeks of experimental period was similar in control group and in group supplemented with probiotics and aloe vera powder but higher (P<0.05) than in other groups.
