An experiment was conducted on 144 day old commercial broilers for 42 days to compare the influence of dietary supplementation of phospholipids and lysophospholipids on their performance. Experimental birds, divided equally in four groups, were offered standard broiler mash supplemented with 0.05% phospholipids, 0.05% and 0.1% lysophospholipids in groups T1, T2 and T3, respectively while, group T0 was offered no supplement. At the end of six weeks, significantly higher body weights were recorded in groups T2 (1758.92 g) and T3 (1776.53 g) than other groups. The mean weekly feed conversion ratio was also better in groups T2 and T3. Nitrogen retention was the highest in group T3 (56%) followed by T2 (53.58%), T1 (51.45%) and lowest in control (44.41%) group. The serum total cholesterol level was lower in groups T2 and T3, while muscle cholesterol was lowest in group T2. Dressing percentage was higher in group T1 (63.17%) than in groups T0 (60.64%), T2 (61.18%) and T3 (61.64%). Percent net profit/kg body weight was higher in groups T2 and T3 than in other groups.
