Abstract

Experiments were conducted on 18 Black Bengal goats of both sexes in order to determine plane of nutrition derived in grazing and stallfed conditions in different seasons. The dry matter consumption ranged from 2.0-3.5 kg/100 kg body weight in different seasons. DM consumption was not significantly different (P>0.05) between treatments and seasons. The DCP intake was also not significantly (P > 0.05) different in stallfed and grazing groups. The DCP intake of does in both stallfed and grazing conditions were more (P<0.05) than of the other sex. The TON intake (P<0.05) was higher in grazing than the stallfed group. Season and sex had no influence on TON intake.
