Ten cross-bred bucks were divided into two groups. One group was browsed on Pala (Zizyphus uummularia) bushes while the other group was offered ad lib. dry leaves for 9 hours daily during May and June for 61 days followed by a digestion trial using double indicator method. The CP content was higher in the browsing material (green) than that in the dry leaves. The bucks consumed 2.65 and 2.70 kg DM/100 kg body weight from green and dry leaves and gained 60 and 69 g/head/day respectively. The digestibili’ies of EE and CF were significantly higher under stall-feeding than those under browsing.
